About Us
The Davis Memorial Foundation operates under the auspices of the Western States Roofing Contractors Association (WSRCA). Giving back to the community has always been a key value of the WSRCA. Over the years it donated more than $30,000 to the Ronald McDonald House.
In 1995 WSRCA formalized its charitable endeavors
by establishing the Davis Memorial Foundation in
memory of Larry
and Mary Davis. Committed to promoting education,
particularly as it relates to the construction industry,
the Davis Memorial Foundation operates under the
auspices of the Western
States Roofing Contractors Association. A Board
of Trustees, whose
members serve three-year terms, oversees the Foundation's
operations.
How we get our funding
The foundation is funded through individual
and corporate contributions and by three annual
fundraising events held during the WSRCA convention each year.
Who is eligible for scholarships?
Anyone who is interested in furthering his or her
education is eligible for a Davis
Memorial Foundation scholarship. However priority
is given to family and employees of roofing industry
members and to applicants who seek a degree or training
related to the construction profession.
Who is eligible for grants?
Western states colleges or universities with construction management schools are eligible to receive grants for developing curriculum and establishing libraries related to the construction industry. Organizations that present seminars or provide printed materials that add to the knowledge base of roofing professionals are also eligible for Davis Memorial Foundation grants.
Please contact the Foundation at (650)938-5405
if you have any questions about who is eligible
to receive grants.
